Sorry Charlie, Charles Darwin

Richard Owen wrote a recent article in the UK Times entitled “The Vatican buries the hatchet with Charles Darwin.”  He began by stating “The Vatican has admitted that Charles Darwin was on the right track when he claimed that Man descended from apes.”  In the article he quotes Archbishop Gianfranco Ravasi who is a leading Vatican authority  and head of the Pontifical Council for Culture as stating that “Darwins theory of evolution was compatible with the Christian faith” and that “biological evolution and the Christian view of Creation were complimentary.” While there are many who love to sing the praises of Darwin as evidenced by his recent birthday celebration true evolutionists know that there is no compatibility between evolution and the Word of God. G. Richard Bozrath stated in his article “The Meaning of Evolution” “Christianity has fought, still fights, and will continue to fight science to the desperate end over evolution, because evolution destroys utterly and finally the very reason Jesus’ earthly life was supposedly made necessary. Destroy Adam and Eve and the original sin, and in the rubble you will find the sorry remains of the Son of God. If Jesus was not the redeemer who died for our sins, and this is what evolution means, then Christianity is nothing.’ (The Meaning of Evolution’, American Atheist, p. 30. 20 September 1979.)  Noted evolutionist and author Richard Dawkins has also stated that there is no room for a deity of any kind in the theory of evolution ( See the movie Expelled). It seems some “religious people” are willing to accept evolution but few if any true evolutionists are willing to accept the Creator God of the Bible. To remove all references of the LORD as Creator from the Bible would be to tear out every other page of Scripture. While some are willing to put their trust in Darwin and doubt God, I, for one, am not.  The LORD has stated “He will not share His glory with any one else” and that includes Darwin and his devotees. The Vatican and other religious groups may want to “bring Darwin back to the church” and “bury the hatchet” but the LORD will not. He, the Creator of all (John 1:1-3) is coming to judge the “living and the dead.” He has decreed that to Him alone “every knee will bow and tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of the Father (Phil. 2:8-11).  Someone is lying, either the God of Creation or the god of evolution. Becareful in choosing which one you will believe for the only way to the Father is through the Son (John 14:6) but “broad is the way that leads to destruction and many there be that go in thereat” (Matthew 7:13). Religion and many reliogious people may not have a problem with Darwin but the Word of God does and the God who wrote it. Sorry Charlie, the CREATOR of heaven and earth will have the last word.
